Chili Queso Dip
This chili queso dip uses only 2 ingredients and takes only 5 minutes to make. That’s including the “prep” time. It’s great for game day, parties, potlucks and gatherings.

While I was reading Uncle David’s taco dip recipe card, I was hit with sudden craving for that cheesy dip with the chunky beef and warm spices. I went into the pantry and found a jar of salsa con queso and a can of beef chili and thought, I’d bet these would work. Don’t tell my in-laws (but I will probably tell them myself), I think I like this dip better than Uncle David’s dip and it has a similar flavor profile and satisfies that same craving. Not to mention that you can make this in a pinch.
The reason why I was staring at the recipe card was because I wanted to adapt it into a version that is creamier and reheats better. This 2-ingredients chili queso dip is creamy and reheats very nicely. Stick it back in the microwave and it warms up look just the same.

Notes:
Salsa Con Queso – I used Tostitos, medium heat. You can use any spice level you like. Medium works well for my taste.
Canned Chili – I used Hormel beef chili. For a thicker dip use the Angus beef chili. I found that the chunky beef chili had more liquid and produced a thinner dip. So, for a thinner dip that coats your chips. This version worked great on nachos as well! I prefer the thicker dip but that is my preference. Note that the dip in the video is made with the can of Chunky Beef Chili No Beans.

Stovetop – To cook on the stovetop, empty the contents of the ingredients into a medium saucepan, heat over medium heat until bubbly and heated through. Make sure to stir occasionally.
Optional Garnish – Since this is the nunya business chili queso dip, you don’t have to tell anyone how easy it was to make. If I was making this for a party, I’d might be inclined to garnish with a little bit of fresh diced tomatoes and/or shredded cheese just to make it appear like I put more effort into it.
Reheat – Cover with a paper towel and heat it the same way. The picture below shows the reheated dip after a night in the fridge. I scooped out a spoon full and reheated for afternoon snacking and it was still just as good as the first time. That makes this dip great for potlucks and gatherings where you may have to reheat before serving.

Nunya Business 2-Ingredient Chili Queso Dip
Time: 5 minutes
1 (15 oz) jar Salsa Con Queso
1 (14 oz) can Angus Beef Chili No Beans or 1 (15 oz) can Chunky Beef Chili No Beans
- Empty contents of jar of salsa con queso and can of beef chili into a large bowl. Cover with a paper towel.
- Place the bowl in the microwave. Microwave on high for 2 ½ to 3 ½ minutes or until heated through. Make sure to stir at least once about halfway through to ensure even heating. Stirring will also reduce the potential of exploding in the microwave as well.
- Serve with chips, bread, or on top of nachos.
- Enjoy!
